Nikki M. Harada

Nikki M. Harada is a Costume Designer and Technician. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Design and Technology and Art and Design minor from the University of Northern Colorado in May 2022. Fall of 2023, she begun her journey to get her MFA in Costume Design at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. In the Fall of 2024, she will continue her Master’s in Costume Technology.

In Fall 2022 to Spring 2023, she served as the Costume Intern and Assistant for Midland Community Theatre. She was the Costume Designer for Of Men and Cars (2022), Sense and Sensibility (2023), Summer Mummers (2023), and Leader of The Pack (2023). Throughout this internship she has also served as a Costume Stitcher for A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (2022), A Monster Calls (2022), Of Men and Cars (2022), A Christmas Carol (2022), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2023), Sense and Sensibility (2023), and Rock of Ages (2023). She has all been a wardrobe dresser for A Christmas Carol (2022), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2022), and National Broadway Tour: My Fair Lady (2023).

At her time at UNCSA she debut her first opera costume design, Lo frate ‘nnamorato (2024). She has served as a film tailor for two student films, Auras (2024) and Braid Crowns (2024) as well as First-handing on two other student films, Charlie Girl (2024) and The Last Peaceful Year (2024). She’s excited to continue her school journey as a Draper and Costume Shop Manager.
